COMMISSIONING A PAINTING
All portraits are oil on stretched canvas. A personal visit by the artist is requisite for you to commission a portrait. At that time sketches and notes are made and photographs are taken. After a pose, background and size are mutually agreed upon, Virginia will compose the painting of the animal and background into a portrait that will stand as a lasting remembrance of the pet and your relationship to it.
